Mindful Breathing Basics
Learn the fundamentals of mindful breathing to reduce stress, increase focus, and calm your body.
Lesson 1: Meet Your Breath
Before you control your breath, you need to understand it.
Sit or lie down. Close your eyes.
Just notice your breath as it is — no need to deepen or change it.
Where do you feel it most? Your nose? Chest? Belly?
Let it flow naturally like waves.
You're not trying to "breathe right." You're just meeting your breath.
Practice: 2 minutes of natural breath awareness. Count your breaths: inhale (1), exhale (2), up to 10, then start again.
Reflection:
Awareness is the first step to mindful breathing. Keep noticing!
